Assistant County Manager Resigns

At a media roundtable on November eighth, new Assistant County Manager Shawn Boatright was asked about the job many had thought would be his one day--the County Manager position in Camden--opening up right after he left there. He assured all in attendance that his contract was in place in Glynn County and that he was staying put.

What a difference a week makes.

Yesterday, the new Assistant County Manager, who many thought was on a trajectory to take over in Camden before his hire in Glynn, turned in his resignation. He'll work out the week and then start a new job. That job? Camden County Manager.

The county is expected to issue a release today. More as this develops.
