Brunswick Police report gunfire injures woman inside her home

Late Tuesday night a 46-year-old woman in Brunswick was struck and suffered a gunshot while inside her home off of Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. Police say her home had come under fire twice that night.

The woman told police that a window and vehicle in the front yard were struck by bullets around 7:30 p.m. Responding police found several shell casings at the scene.

The woman called police again at around 11:30 p.m. to report that "she was shot while inside her home," police reported. After securing the scene and rendering aid to the woman, police again found several shell casings at the scene.

Brunswick police report that the woman was taken in and treated at Southeast Georgia Health System's.
