Celebrate Earth Day on Sapelo Island, Georgia! Day visitors are invited to j beautiful Sapelo Island for a nature hike visiting the maritime forest, salt marsh and dune habitats, and finish on Sapelo's pristine Nanny Goat beach. *Sapelo Island is accessible by ferry only. Arrive at the Sapelo Island Visitor Center (1766 Landing Road SE, Darien, GA) by 8:30 to purchase a ferry ticket ($15 round trip, cash or check only). Ferry leaves *promptly* at 9:00. Bring water, comfortable shoes, appropriate outdoor clothing, plus a snack.
