Miranda Lambert Recalls Difficult Time After Divorce From Blake Shelton

Miranda Lambert recently opened up to a Nashville crowd about a difficult time in her life she's overcome.

On Friday night (January 24) at a show for her "Wildcard Tour" at Bridgestone Arena, the country star noted how Nashville has seen her through some "highs and lows," including her divorce from Blake Shelton in 2015.

"I feel like Nashville is somewhere where you can go if you need to be a dreamer and not be judged about it. I spent a lot of time here on highs and lows,” she said to the crowd.

"I went through a really hard time in my life," Lambert continued. "I moved here in 2015 in the middle of a s**t show, but I was lifted up by people who were like, ‘We got you, girl.’ My friends and my songwriters and my fans and everybody here.”

Following her show, Lambert turned to social media to share her appreciation for the sold-out crowd in Nashville that evening. "Thank you Nashville for an amazing night. I haven't played Bridgestone Arena in 8 years. Coming back to play for a sold out crowd was a dream come true!"

She adds, "And this outfit made me feel like a real Honky Tonk Angel. One of my favorites ever!"

Shelton and Lambert were together for ten years and married for four before breaking it off in 2015. Soon after their divorce was official, Shelton started dating Gwen Stefani. The two have been together about four years now and plan to eventually get married.

Lambert is also in love again. The country star married husband Brendan McLoughlin after meeting outside of Good Morning America in November 2018. The couple celebrated one-year of marriage together on Sunday (January 26).
